LE7500. Retailer Exclusive Holiday Costume. “Ransom in Red” is a fiery red peplum sheath dress with an unconventional design. The halter bodice extends into an unusual split train that unfurls like poinsettia petals a full 13″ down from the waist. The svelte skirt has a single slit up the back to the knee. Gene is wearing a king’s ransom of jewels, including a “ruby and pearl” bracelet and three-tiered “diamond” earrings. Includes gloves, hose and red grosgrain ribbon strap shoes. Circa 1954.
