The earliest record of this rhyme is in a manuscript from 1805, which only contained the first verse, references to a children’s game called Bo-Beep from the 16th century. So special how classic and popular folk-tales still hold charm today! 

While she may have lost her sheep, she certainly didn’t lose any style!  From the Storybook Doll Collection, Little Bo Peep wears a sleeveless silk dress in cream taffeta with exquisite leaf green trim and pink organza ruffles.  Her waist is accented with the sweetest paper rose which matches the ones on her bonnet and sets off her red “mohair” wig styled with curls so beautifully.  White shoes and matching silk pants finish her look.  

Little Bo Peep is six inches tall, all porcelain and has her gold foil wrist tag and perfect fit doll stand.  And, did you know, this little cutie is a sculpt from world renowned artist Dianna Effner, she captures the essence of old-world charm doesn’t she with those chubby little cheeks and rich dark eyes and of course that pouty lip!
