Sunday Afternoon is a two-piece spring ensemble: of a sleeveless sheath and tailored jacket. Circa 1953. The navy blue sleeveless rayon sheath is peppered with white polka dots and has a square neckline. The long-sleeved white waist-length jacket accented with matching blue and white polka dot trim at the sleeves and collar. Accessories includes wide-brimmed hat, trimmed with a red silk poppy and a “pearl” and navy bead hat pin; “pearl” earrings and necklace; white wicker purse; and white open-toed slingbacks. Designer: Abigail Haskell, a winner of the Young Designers of America Competition.
