Created by British Artist, Gillie Charlson, Raven is a limited edition of 10. Raven is 20″ tall porcelain with wire armature in cloth body, romantic mohair wig and blue paperweight glass eyes. Gillie costumed her in antique fabrics.. long velvet skirt, lace-edged chiffon tunic and a hand-knit shawl secured with a spray of silk flowers. Gillie says she envisons Raven as an actress “I imagine her going out on a special night, maybe to an awards ceremony, as I think she looks quite ‘arty’.
