Order and Pre-Order Policy
Once an order is placed on the website, it is processed. Any cancellation will be charged a 20% fee to cover the costs involved with processing the order and a store credit will be issued for the remainder. A Pre-Order account will be set up for anyone ordering a new release doll that is not ready to be shipped from the manufacturer and/or a doll that is not in stock and must be special ordered from the manufacturer. When a doll is Pre-Ordered it represents a commitment between our shop and the customer to purchase that doll when it arrives from the artist or manufacturer. A non-refundable 30% deposit will be charged to hold a pre-order. When the item(s) arrive from the artist or manufacturer, the balance is automatically charged to the credit card on file and shipped immediately. Pre-Order is NOT layaway. See Layaway Policy.
Layaway Policy
We do offer layaway in some circumstances. Please email for details. If a layaway plan is approved and the customer wishes to cancel, there are NO REFUNDS of payments. A $25 fee for all payments 10 days past due will be applied to the balance. All items will be returned to stock if no payment is received after 60 days.
Sales or Discounts
No discounts are allowed on items marked "Special", "Sale", "ND" (No Discount). Prices may change without prior notice. Not responsible for typographical errors. We reserve the right to cancel or not accept an order.
Method of Payment
We accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express and Discover credit cards, money orders and personal checks. We do not take Paypal at this time. Please be aware that if you send a personal check your order will be held 10 business days from DEPOSIT of the check before shipment. We only make deposits every two or three weeks. If you send a money order, your order will ship immediately upon receipt. No CODs. There is a $25 charge for all returned checks. Unless the returned check amount plus the applicable service charge is paid in full within 10 days from the date of the check being returned to The Doll Peddlar, a presumption in law arises that the check was delivered with the intent to defraud and the dishonored check and all other available information relating to the incident may be submitted for the issuance of a criminal warrant or citation or to the prosecutor for criminal prosecution. As a matter of practice, all returned checks are turned over to a professional collection agency for processing.
Shipping
Please carefully provide your correct shipping address. If the wrong address is supplied, UPS will automatically correct and charge us an additional fee. If this happens, we will in turn charge you.
Domestic: All orders within the contiguous United States are shipped UPS Ground. If you prefer USPS Priority Mail, please indicate in the comments section of your order. Additional shipping charge may apply. Orders outside the contiguous United States are shipped USPS Priority Mail. Additional shipping charge may apply. Most orders ship same or next business day. Expedited shipping is available upon request at an additional cost. Please request such in the comments section of your order. In certain circumstances, an additional shipping amount may be applied due to size, weight or higher insurance value. This is not necessarily stated in the description of the product. We will notify you of this via email. You will receive an email with your tracking number from either UPS (QuantumViewNotify) or USPS. You can track at either www.usps.com or www.ups.com.
International: Please note the shipping amount that appears on your order is a default amount for domestic shipping only. Your shipping amount will be more. All international orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. USPS Express Mail is available upon request. Please request in the comments section of your order. We do not ship First Class Mail or Air Parcel Post. Shipping charges are determined by weight of the package (actual cost) plus $5.00 service/handling fee. You will receive an email with your tracking number when your order is shipped. You can track your package at www.usps.com.
Return Policy
There are no REFUNDS. There is no return of NRFB Barbies. We inspect all dolls before they leave our store to insure that the doll is as described on our website - NRFB, Mint, Etc. Returns are generally NOT accepted. If you choose to return any item that is NOT defective there is a 25% restocking fee. You have three (3) business days from receipt to notify us of your desire to return. At that time, a Return Authorization Number (RAN) will be given and must be written on the outside of the package or the package will NOT be accepted. Shipping costs are NOT refundable. The balance, after restocking fee is deducted, will be applied to a store credit only. Store credits expire after 90days. When using the store credit you will need to mention said credit in the comments section of your next order.
If your item arrives damaged, you must notify us immediately with the item(s), all papers, packing materials, wrapping, original boxes, etc., retained. Damage will be reported to either UPS or USPS and a damage claim initiated. Following inspection, merchandise will be replaced or refund of purchase price. There are no refunds of shipping costs. Not responsible for replacement or refunds if full insurance coverage has been declined.
